A large volume control is located in the middle of the front panel, which also functions as an on/off button. To the right of it there are two sensor buttons for jumping forward and backward to the next track. On the right edge there is a play button for DVDs, a USB port and a jack plug socket as audio output. To the left of the volume control there are sensor buttons for starting the hands-free car kit and the navigation system. On the left edge there are openings for the microphone, two MicroSD card slots and the reset button. As soon as you press the power button, the display will pop out of the housing. The sensor button on the far right has a double function. It can be used to tilt the whole screen into several positions.
On my search for interesting car radios I discovered something very special this time. Because this Joying universal device is finally offered with 4G receiver and SIM card slot! Also the other technical details are quite impressive. The radio uses the Octa-Core processor Intel Spreadtrum SC9853i with 1.8 Ghz clock frequency and runs with Android 8.1. 4GB RAM and 32 GB RAM were generously provided for running apps.
SIM card slot
The SIM card slot of the Joying JY-UOS03N4G is located at the end of a connection cable that is plugged into the back of the device. In many cases it will extend to the glove compartment together with the two USB connection cables. As an owner of a mobile phone contract you can get a second SIM card for 5 Euro per month. This means your car radio will always have an Internet connection for Google Maps, Spotify, Youtube, Internet Radio, Mail and Whatsapp. This will save you the effort of pairing the radio with a smartphone hotspot.
All devices have 32 GB of ROM space for applications and 2 GB of RAM.
The Eonon GA2176 has three short-stroke keys and a volume control on the left front. This knob is also the on-off switch. Above it are the homebutton, the backspace key and the navigation key.
At the top left you find two holes, one for receiving signals from the infrared remote control and one for the internal microphone. A DVD drive does not exist on this model, but a slot for microSD cards. With this Eonon car stereo you can use MicroSD cards and USB sticks up to a size of 64 GB. At the bottom there is also an opening for the reset with a ballpoint pen.
There is also a USB port on the back. It’s best to put the attached USB cable into the glove box. Then you can easily replace a connected USB stick. The 7-inch display even has a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. Even the 8-core processor is properly sized with a clock frequency of 1.5 Ghz.
